Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for managing daily operations across all Kingscott offices, including oversight of facilities, office infrastructure, operational systems, and vendor relationships. This role partners directly with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and collaborates closely with the Resource Manager, IT Coordinator & Technician, and Kingscott’s Technology Support Partner (Strategic Business Solutions).

A critical focus of this position is supporting data-driven operational decision-making, including gathering and maintaining operational and staffing data that informs workload balancing, staffing allocations, and production capacity planning.

This role requires strong operational judgment, risk awareness, and the ability to ensure Kingscott’s processes, vendor relationships, and office operations align with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Within approximately two years, this role is designed to transition into an Operations/Resources Director position.

Architectural Intern

The Architectural Intern will be a currently enrolled architecture student pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; junior- or senior-level students are preferred. This internship is structured to provide substantive exposure to the daily operations of professional architectural practice and to foster an understanding of the collaborative design process. As an Architectural Intern at Kingscott, you will be an integral member of our team and participate in the development of active projects across multiple phases while working closely with experienced architects and designers in a collaborative team environment that values mentorship, design rigor, and thoughtful execution.

FF&E Interior Designer

The FF&E Interior Designer specializing in K-12 Educational Environments is responsible for planning, selecting, and coordinating installation of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment that support student learning, instructional delivery, and overall facility function. This role focuses on developing thoughtful, research-based FF&E solutions that enhance safety, comfort, flexibility, and educational outcomes. The FF&E Interior Designer collaborates closely with interior designers, architects, educators, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure that all FF&E selections align with curriculum needs, district standards, budget expectations, lifecycle performance, and overall design intent.

Project Manager

As an Architectural Project Manager, your role is crucial in planning, overseeing and managing all architectural documents and cross-functional teams, from project inception to completion. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the required quality standards. The Project Manager continuously works closely with upper management, consultants, construction managers and client(s) to ensure the scope and direction of each project remains on track, addressing and creatively solving design and constructions issues that may arise throughout the project life cycle.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will be a current Mechanical Engineering student pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; a junior or senior-level student is preferred. Our internships are designed to provide exposure to the day-to-day operations of our organization, the chance to work on real projects, and the opportunity to learn from our experienced team of talented engineers. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a passion for mechanical systems who are eager to contribute and learn.

Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled senior electrical engineer to join our architectural and engineering design firm. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of commercial and K-12 educational projects, ensuring they meet both client requirements and current industry standards. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and mentoring junior engineers. This remote position requires the individual to live in the state of Michigan with the ability to regularly travel throughout the state to client sites.

Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a motivated electrical engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our growing architectural and engineering design firm. This individual will support the design and development of electrical systems for K-12 and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with client needs and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be actively pursuing their Professional Engineer (PE) license and demonstrate strong technical skills and collaborative capabilities. This role involves working with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and cross-functional collaboration with architects and other engineers. This remote position requires the individual to live in the state of Michigan with the ability to regularly travel throughout the state to client sites.

Civil Designer

We are seeking an experienced civil/site design engineer. The civil engineer is responsible for site design, specializing in stormwater drainage, site grading, utility design, and administering local agency reviews. The position will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality civil designs from the schematic design (SD) phase through construction administration (CA). This role requires technical expertise in civil site design for commercial sites, including K-12 education sites, to ensure compliance with the State of Michigan's site design codes and standards. This remote position requires the individual to live in the state of Michigan with the ability to regularly travel throughout the state to client sites.
