Kingscott Names Maureen Weatherby as Chief People Officer

KALAMAZOO, Mich.– Architectural, engineering and design firm Kingscott Associates Inc. has announced the hiring of Maureen Weatherby as Chief People Officer (CPO). In this role, Weatherby will serve on Kingscott’s executive leadership team and oversee human resources (HR) strategy and initiatives.

Weatherby’s focus is to provide holistic HR support and drive processes related to employee experience, recruiting and retention, career and talent development, along with oversight and management of operations. This newly created position is part of Kingscott’s continued commitment to align its organizational goals and objectives with diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and promote an exceptional company culture.

“As we envisioned this new position, we sought out a friend to Kingscott to present this opportunity,” said Rob Atkins, Kingscott President. “We knew that Maureen “Mo” Weatherby was the perfect person to be a champion and ‘game changer’ for our staff as our very first CPO. Weatherby has over 30 years of experience in the architectural and engineering industry. She was previously a member of the Kingscott team as an HR manager from 2017 to 2018. She rejoins the firm after serving in numerous HR roles, most recently the last five years in the automotive manufacturing industry.
