Lansing School District – Willow School

Willow School opened in August 2026, and is the first of a new generation of PK-8 schools in the Lansing School District. Accommodating 550 students, the school is designed with a Northern European inspired layout, featuring four separate buildings arranged around an outdoor campus to promote outdoor learning. The main building houses shared facilities and serves as the entry point for students and visitors. The three additional buildings each serve as self-contained learning communities, with teaching spaces designed to meet the needs of specific grade levels.

Features include:

• Full sized gymnasium for physical activities during the school day and athletic and community events after hours

• A cafeteria that includes a portable stage and support systems for student performances

• A central core of STEAM, Music, and Special Education spaces

• Outdoor learning and play areas

• A covered path that connects the four buildings on the campus
