Kingscott Welcomes Three New Team Members

KALAMAZOO, Mich.– Architectural, engineering and design firm Kingscott Associates Inc. has announced the hiring of project architect Romica Singh and interior designers Danielle Bohannon and Amber Klavon.

“We are excited to welcome Romica, Danielle, and Amber to our staff,” said Rob Atkins, Kingscott President. “During our hiring process, these three individuals quickly rose to the top of our list based on their talent, expertise, and fit into our company culture. Each brings a unique skill set and passion for serving our clients.”

A licensed architect, Singh has over 10 years of experience in design and construction. She has worked in firm settings as well as founded her own architectural design practice where she competitively bid and won the City of Birmingham Police Department/City Hall renovations and expansion project. She has also served as a consultant to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) department at University of Michigan. Singh has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture (Digital Fabrication) degree from Lawrence Technological University. She holds AIA and NCARB accreditations.

Bohannon has 12 years of experience in interior design and architecture. She has worked in client lead and project manager roles, creating project plans, timelines and documenting all design phases. She holds IIDA, NCIDQ and AIA Associate certifications. Bohannon has a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and a Master of Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University.

Klavon comes to Kingscott after spending the last five years working for a granite wholesale company, overseeing internal operations of the office and warehouse. Klavon’s design experience comes from her education at Lawrence Technological University where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Interior Architecture. She also has experience as a design intern where she utilized multiple formats of two- and three-dimensional design.

Established in 1929, Kingscott is the second oldest architectural, engineering and interior design firm in the state of Michigan and has office locations in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Chelsea and Royal Oak. Kingscott specializes in the design and planning of K-12 schools, commercial buildings, and senior living communities and is continuing to expand its portfolio in other development areas.
