Kingscott Introduces Updated Visual Identity
(April 25, 2023)
KALAMAZOO, Mich.– Architectural, engineering and interior design firm, Kingscott Associates, has unveiled a new logo and rebrand. The new identity embodies the renewed purpose, energy and enthusiasm of the employees and the company’s focus on the future and expansion in new markets.
The new logo mark and visual identity were created through a collaborative design process that was spearheaded by a team comprised of internal creative resources, including architects, designers and marketing professionals. The process was similar to the inclusive approach used with our clients as we create designs that capture their vision and goals. By involving stakeholders, we can create places people love which drives everything we do.
“We could not be more proud or excited to reveal our updated logo and brand,” said Kingscott President, Rob Atkins. “This branding initiative is reflective of our commitment to growth and innovation, as well as honors the rich history of this 94-year old firm. The new visual identity will not only help drive brand distinction, but in turn will help us spotlight our clients’ many impactful projects.”
Kingscott’s widely recognized orange will still be heavily used throughout the new branding. The firm has also expanded the brand’s color palette, introducing blue as a complementary color in the new logo. The inspiration for the shape of the ‘K’ within the logo was drawn from one of the company’s original marks under the era of company founder, Louis C. Kingscott.
Established in 1929, Kingscott is the second oldest architectural, engineering and interior design firm in the state of Michigan and has office locations in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Chelsea and Royal Oak. Kingscott specializes in the design and planning of K-12 schools, commercial buildings, and senior living communities and is continuing to expand its portfolio in other development areas.
